Brent Pace, LCSW

Brent has worked in mental health most of his adult life. He has been a therapist for over 20 years and joined Flourish Therapy about three years ago when he saw the remarkable commitment of those involved. For eight years prior, Brent was Clinical Director of Utah Health and Human Rights: a nonprofit agency that provides holistic mental health services to refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers who have survived torture. Prior to that Brent advocated for youth in Utah’s Juvenile Justice Services and at Valley Behavioral Health. He specializes in treating survivors of a various kinds of trauma: sexual, physical, institutional, intergenerational, and religious, and works to create a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals.

Brent is a practitioner through the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and believes that holistic healing happens as we focus on, and engage in the practice of science-based mindfulness activities. Brent is a passionate amateur photographer who also loves reading and writing poetry, watching independent and international films, traveling in the United States and to France as often as possible with his husband of 25 years.
