Samuel Tew, Administrative Assistant

Originally from northern Florida, Samuel has called Utah home since 2018. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Florida State University, and he has recently returned to school for a Master’s in Public Administration degree at the University of Utah. His long-term interests are in nonprofit administration and management. 

Samuel is passionate about helping marginalized groups and individuals, especially in connection with his experience as a queer person of faith. He has worked with Flourish on small projects since June 2020 and recently joined as a full-time staff member. He also serves as the board secretary for Affirmation: LGBTQ Mormons, Families & Friends and regularly volunteers with Encircle, a resource center for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults.

In his free time, Samuel enjoys hiking, playing board games, learning new things, and spending time with his fiancé.
