Shawna Henry, LMFT

Shawna Henry received her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and has been practicing for 8 years.  She offers a safe and nurturing space to grow and move through the therapeutic process.  She values the resilience of the human spirit and the intrinsic value of every human being.  She feels privileged to walk through the change process with people and be entrusted with their life stories. 

Shawna works with individuals, couples, families and group therapy.  She specializes in healing from trauma/abuse, adoption and attachment issues, self-harm and suicidal ideation, depression and anxiety, and issues related to systemic oppression of any minority groups (race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.).

She has a special interest in women’s issues including relationships, faith issues, trauma, and empowering them to reach their full potential.  She looks at every situation systemically and in her work utilizes Family Systems therapies, DBT, CBT, Lifespan Integration, mindfulness and empowerment principles. 

Shawna is an LMFT Supervisor and available to do therapy in Spanish.
