Amy Brown, Student Intern
From a young age, I had a deep desire to make a positive impact on others’ lives through social work, yet self-doubt held me back. Because of societal norms and expectations, I struggled to embrace my true self. However, through my journey of self-discovery and exploration of these societal norms, I’ve gradually shed those inhibitions and grown more comfortable in my own skin. This process has not only empowered me personally but has also deepened my understanding and empathy for others navigating similar challenges.
With a foundation in understanding, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, I strive to create a safe space where clients can
explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely. I believe in the inherent worth and potential of each individual and my approach is rooted in fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I am here to accompany you on your journey towards self-awareness, growth, and healing!
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, walking, reading fantasy books, listening to podcasts, such as Armchair Expert, eating chocolate,
laughing, and engaging in deep conversations. I was raised in Utah within the predominant religion but have since moved away from that affiliation. My husband and I have been married for twelve years, and together we have three boys and a dog who are all full of chaotic energy and love. We enjoy camping, being silly, and having snuggle parties with popcorn.
