What We Do

Flourish Therapy is a clinical care program that provides individual, couples, family and group counseling for all age groups, including short- and long-term counseling, crisis intervention, parent intervention, and support services with a focus on quality care for LGBTQIA+ clients and their families.

Our services

  • We provide mental and behavioral health care to LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples and families in Utah, with offices in Orem, South Jordan, and Salt Lake City. (Email our office for more information about treatment for clients located in other states.)

  • We offer therapy that is culturally competent and affordable. One-third of our clients pay less than $25 per session. We also provide more than 400 sessions of free mental health treatment each month to clients who are unable to afford the cost of therapy.

  • We take many insurance plans, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, DMBA, EMI Health, SelectHealth, U Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare, and Utah Medicaid, and we can still bill your insurance if we are not in your network.

  • We have over 60 therapists, social workers, associate therapists, and interns, and 2 nurse practitioners. We have therapists who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, straight, transgender, nonbinary, and cisgender.

  • We treat sociocultural trauma, sexual trauma, religious trauma, PTSD, gender dysphoria, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, OCD and other issues.

  • We assess and write letters for gender-affirming medical treatment.

  • We focus on resilience and healthy relationships.

  • We work with couple and family understanding and relationship repair.

  • We offer affirming education to promote understanding and healthy community diversity.

  • We offer professional education to therapists seeking to increase competence in working with the LGBTQIA+ community.

  • We partner with other groups supporting healthy LGBTQIA+ resilience, empowerment and leadership in our community.

  • We provide accessible therapy options and reasonable accommodations to best serve the needs of all our clients.
