Emma Wright, Student Intern

Emma Wright is from the San Francisco bay area. She earned a B.S. in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University, with a focus on psychopathology. In her undergraduate education, Emma discovered an interest in understanding the underlying processes of the brain and  the mind, and learning how to help when those processes become misaligned with a high quality of life. However, what Emma loves more than anything is working face to face with people; she loves getting to know others, and believes that everyone has a story well worth understanding.

Emma's passion for working with marginalized populations led her to love her years of working with adolescents in residential treatment. She is now pursuing a master’s degree in social work at Utah Valley University. As a clinician, Emma believes that the most important predictor of the effectiveness of therapy is the therapeutic alliance - the relationship between the client and the clinician. When not at work, Emma enjoys cooking, reading, playing piano and sharing bizarre fun facts with her partner and friends.
