Krista Niederjohn, CSW, MSW, MEd (Human Sexuality)

Hi, I’m Krista and my identity is a vibrant tapestry of experiences and orientations. I use she/they pronouns and I embrace a diverse range of identities, including being queer, pansexual, and demi-sexual. My approach to relationships is rooted in polyamory, and I identify as a relationship anarchist as well. Additionally, I’m proudly disabled, an avid animal lover, kayaker, and enthusiastic participant in the Burning Man community. These facets of my identity shape the unique perspective I bring to my work and interactions.

I grew up in Colorado and moved to Utah in 2008 to pursue my undergraduate studies in Acting from the University of Utah. I currently hold a double master’s degree in Social Work and Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University as well. My focus lies primarily in the realm of sex therapy (individual and relationship), although I offer a wide array of therapeutic services that extend beyond this domain. My passion lies in working with diverse communities, including those in alternative lifestyles such as queer, consensual non-monogamy, and kink

I’ve also had the opportunity to share my knowledge and insights by teaching workshops on topics such as polyamory and gender/sexuality at conventions across the country. My commitment to the field of human sexuality encompasses gender and sexual exploration, as well as addressing subjects such as sexual functioning and partner dynamics. Furthermore, I possess training in relationship therapy and sexual trauma.

I approach my work with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, a sex-positive perspective, and a commitment to the biopsychosocial model. My approach is rooted in strengths-based and client-centered principles. I firmly believe that individuals are experts in their own experiences, and my role is to empower and guide them in leveraging their strengths to achieve their goals.
