C Meyer, CSW, TRS, CTRS

C Meyer (she/they) identifies as genderqueer & neurodivergent. In May 2023, they graduated from the University of Utah with their Master of Social Work degree. In 2014 she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy from the University of Utah. For the last ten years, C has worked at a youth Psychiatric Residential Treatment Center, where she advocated for creating critical policy and systemic change so transgender clients can receive equitable and ethical care.

They are a valuable member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and are passionate about advocating for the rights and inclusion of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals.

They care deeply about gender-affirming care, unmasking neurodivergence, and suicide prevention. C’s work is rooted in social justice, sex positivity, and a Queer Theory lens. C helps facilitate a transgender and non-binary support group (formally through the Utah Pride Center and now hosted at Flourish Therapy) and works with other community partners to help amplify marginalized experiences and voices.

C is from Utah and no longer affiliates or subscribes to a belief system. They are an outdoor enthusiast, prioritizing their own self-care through running, riding motorcycles, snowboarding, and practicing yoga.

Her dream is to open an LGBTQIA2S+ group home for unsheltered youth while providing a holistic experience in combination with recreational therapy, trauma-informed care, and psycho-education. She is interested in the healing components of nutrition, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and becoming EMDR certified to assist LGBTQIA2S+ clients better; they are EMDR trained.

They look forward to meeting and walking beside you on this incredible healing journey.
