Mike Fuller, M.Ed., MSW, LCSW
Mike helps adults find and trust their bodies and inner selves, especially those navigating the complexities of religious trauma, identity, and intimacy. His journey to becoming a therapist began in a place of deep orthodoxy, having spent two decades as a full-time religious educator. This experience provided him with a profound understanding of the challenges individuals face when their internal world diverges from external expectations. He is in training to become a certified sex therapist.
Navigating his own transition led him to a deeper understanding of compassion, authenticity, and the importance of honoring individual values. This personal journey, which he shared with his wife of 24 years, now informs his work as a therapist. He summarizes his reason to change careers as a “journey from orthodoxy to compassion”.
Mike provides a safe and supportive space for those grappling with the emotional impact of leaving a high-demand religion. He is especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals and their family members, helping them find their voice at the intersection of faith, identity, and sexuality.
Mike believes in the power of listening, validating your experiences, and empowering you to create a life of meaning and purpose. When he's not working, you can find him playing softball or on the pickleball court, indulging in chocolate, or spending time outdoors with his wife and two adult sons.
