Bekka Hamatake, CSW
If you're someone who’s navigating ADHD, identity exploration, late-night existential spirals, faith transitions, or the occasional “Wait, was I dissociating for 45 minutes?” — welcome. You’ve found your people.
I’m a neurodivergent-friendly, LGBTQ+-affirming therapist with a soft spot for folks who’ve felt a little (or a lot) out of place in traditional therapy. Diagnosed with ADHD later in life (because life loves a twist), I turned that lightbulb moment into a mission: to build therapy spaces where your brain isn’t seen as “broken”—just uniquely wired and deeply brilliant.
To back that up with real tools, I’ve completed advanced training in ADHD-specific care, including becoming a Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) and earning a specialized certification in ADHD Assessment and Treatment (ADHD-PT). I stay up to date on the latest research so I can bring both clinical skill and lived understanding into the room.
But ADHD is just one thread in the tapestry. I work with clients moving through big life shifts, identity exploration, spiritual redefinition, anxiety, self-worth wobbles, and more. Whether or not ADHD is part of your story, you're welcome here—exactly as you are.
Therapeutically, I draw from evidence-based modalities like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and SFT (Solution-Focused Therapy)—but I don’t believe in therapy that sounds like it was written by a robot. I bring humor, humanity, a healthy amount of metaphor, and deep respect for your lived experience.
Bonus: I offer sessions both online and in-person at the Utah Pride Center in downtown Salt Lake City. Must love (or at least be open to) messy growth, nerdy analogies, and learning how to be a little kinder to your own brain.
Therapist by trade, activist by heart.
If you’re looking for therapy that feels human, affirming, and just weird enough to be real—reach out. Let’s make space for your story.
