Bekka Hamatake, Student Intern

Bekka (she/her) is in her final year as a graduate student at the University of Utah.

Born and raised in South Davis County, Utah, she discovered her passion for creating non-judgmental spaces while living in Northern California, where she met her partner of 20 years. They have raised four children together, three of whom are gender-diverse.

An activist at heart, Bekka is dedicated to creating space for transformative experiences for clients. Her career goal is to provide each client with a supportive environment to navigate challenges without judgment. Her areas of experience include faith transitions/deconstruction, SFT (Solution Focused Therapy) grief and loss, IFS (Internal Family Systems), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), depression, anxiety, and substance abuse support.

Bekka looks forward to connecting with clients through telehealth services and in downtown Salt Lake City.

When she’s not immersed in studies, carpooling her kids, or at work, Bekka enjoys watching her children participate in activities and relaxing with friends.
