Danny Caldwell, CMHC

Danny Caldwell (He/Him) has been working as a therapist since 2011 but has been working in the clinical field since 2005

Danny has spent much of his career working with teens and young adults on various issues including substance use, depression, parent child relationship problems, delinquency, and behavioral issues. Danny also has passion and extensive experience in working with individuals who are processing conflicts with faith and sexuality.

Danny is a gay man who was raised in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, served an LDS mission and was married to a woman in the LDS temple. Due to personal and professional experience Danny has excellent perspective and skills in helping individuals process the coming out experience, processing through life changes such as finding a place in a religious organization as a queer person, leaving a faith system, navigating divorce, and parenting as a newly out queer person.

Danny believes that meeting a person where they are is the best place to start and that guiding an individual through their own path is the healthiest approach. It is  important to set your own goals and expectations. Peace in life comes from being authentically you, and you decide what that looks like.

Danny has a Bachelors of Behavioral Science in Social Work from Utah Valley University and a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix.

Danny has training in DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, and  Motivational Interviewing.

When not working Danny enjoys spending time with his husband Ty, and their three children. He also enjoys the outdoors, concerts, theater, and playing the guitar and bagpipes.
