Kai Molina, Student Intern
I am from Chile so my first language is Spanish and I am fluent in English as well. I am nonbinary and part of the queer community. When I was younger, I served a mission for the LDS church and realized I am queer. This brought a lot of conflict and religious trauma for me, so I can understand the difficulties of leaving a religion after being so connected with it for years. During my time in Idaho, I worked at Child Protective Services and Stewards of Recovery, a partial residential treatment for women recovering from addiction. I also worked at a School District helping students thrive and as a Case Manager for Serenity Human Service Coordination for a few months, working especially with the Latinx community there. Today, as I am getting my Master's degree, I am focused on learning more about Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also interested in creating a space of trust and safety with clients where they know they can open up and bring all of their parts to our time together.
When I am not at work I like spending time with my girlfriend watching Drag Race and baking desserts.
