Lauren Murray, Student Intern

Hello! I’m Lauren (she/her), and I’m dedicated to creating a compassionate, non-judgmental, and authentic therapeutic space. My goal is to provide an affirming environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, experiences, and traumas openly. I honor the uniqueness of each individual by meeting you exactly where you are and helping you access the resources and support systems you need.

I incorporate various therapeutic modalities into my practice, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mind-Body Bridging, Affirmative Psychotherapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I tailor my approach to align with your values, desires, and personal experiences, often blending these methods through a trauma-informed lens to help you find a safe, flexible, and empowering path forward.

I’m currently in my final year of the Master of Social Work program at the University of Utah, where I have gained valuable experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including a focus on the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals navigating faith transitions. As I am a post-Mormon and pansexual individual myself. I also hold a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Southern Utah University.

My passion for social work is rooted in my commitment to social justice and enhancing others' well-being. Outside of my professional life, I love spending time outdoors, reading, and enjoying moments with my cat and loved ones.

It’s a privilege to accompany you through both the challenges and triumphs of your journey. I deeply value your time, experiences, and commitment to personal growth as we work together toward resilience and clarity.
