Reagan Jobe, Student Intern
Reagan has additional experience working with people with physical disabilities, children and teens with autism, domestic violence survivors, children and teens with PTSD, and homeless communities. Reagan is passionate about continuing to learn from marginalized groups and serve them as a counselor.
Before starting graduate school Reagan worked numerous jobs in the outdoor industry; ski instructor, mountain bike coach, hiking guide. There were many times she saw students that were outside of their comfort zone that had huge breakthroughs, both physically and mentally. She saw first hand how impactful outdoor spaces can be on a person’s mental health and continues to carry these lessons into her sessions.
In addition to their work with LGBTQ+ clients, Reagan is a passionate advocate for ecotherapy, recognizing the profound connection between mental health and the natural world. Reagan integrates principles of ecotherapy into her practice, encouraging clients to explore the healing potential of nature through outdoor activities, mindfulness, and environmental awareness. Reagan’s holistic approach emphasizes the therapeutic benefits of reconnecting with the natural environment, promoting healing, resilience, and a sense of belonging alongside traditional counseling practices. Counseling is a collaborative process and new clients are encouraged to communicate about their counseling needs, experiences, and goals!
